It’s the weekend after a long weekend and we have nothing to do now. If only there was a place you could look to for some weekend direction. Look no more! Here are five things that might give you some guidance.

  1. The annual Pets in the Park will surely perk you up on Sunday. It’s being held at the Kiwanis Memorial Park North from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Watch where you walk!
  2. The annual Second Avenue Sidewalk Sale downtown is always a great place to find a great deal. Or you could just walk around and people watch. That’s fun too. It runs through Saturday.
  3. Pion-Era is an annual event which takes us back in time to gain a better appreciation of our agricultural roots. It’s at the Western Development Museum and runs Saturday and Sunday.
  4. The 5K Foamfest will probably be a lot of fun. It’s a Saturday event and is being run out at John Arcand Fiddle Fest grounds, on the Pike Lake Highway. It’s billed as Canada’s No. 1 fun run. Check out their website for costs and details.
  5. You could channel your inner Marley at the Saskatoon Reggae World Music Festival. It runs Saturday at W. E. Graham park on Broadway Avenue. It starts at noon and runs til 10 p.m.
