Could this be the most action-packed week of summer? From the Saskatoon Ex to the Fringe Festival, and everything in between, plenty of activities are available to keep people moving this weekend.

— The John Arcand Fiddle Fest offers family fun with daily concerts, old-time dances and competitions, 10 kilometres southwest of Saskatoon on the Pike Lake Highway. There are free shuttles from Saskatoon, delicious food and a large children’s play area.

— The World Junior Lacrosse Championship takes over SaskTel Centre as Canada, Iroquois and the United States compete to determine the gold medal championship game.

— A truly Saskatchewan evening is on tap Saturday at Farm One Forty, where guests meet pigs, cows and chickens, and explore the garden where meal ingredients grow. A bonfire and musical entertainment follow. Purchase tickets at http://www.farmoneforty.ca.

— Amazing Stories hosts a parking lot craft sale for all things pop culture. Meet other crafty folks, get inspired and sell your wares. Space is free but limited. Register at amazingstoriespunch@gmail.com

— Just between you and me, Canadian rock band April Wine plays the SaskTel Grandstand Stage at the Saskatoon Exhibition on Saturday. Gates open at 7 p.m. and the show starts at 8:30 p.m.
